We watched the sun rise during breakfast this morning from behind the sparkling skyline here, in the city of Des Moines, Iowa... it's pretty! We are on the 7th Floor and get to view the high rises decorated with all their Christmas lights at night.The kids slept great last night, especially Jadon, who is improving with the help of antibiotic eye drops and prescription cough syrup. Bryce and I slept well. And as far as hotel rooms go, this one is much more spacious than our last, to say the least. But there are a few things that we wonder about...
Is it me, or does something see a little... off?
Not quite sure the cleaning staff was wearing their glasses when they got to the bathroom... any guesses on what this is growing here? Bryce's guess is tobacco chew... some poor old guy probably missed the... hmm... sink? ... waste basket?... about a month ago??
Ahh, the adventure of affordable hotels! What would life be like without a little mystery in the bathroom? Not much fun, let me tell you! :o)
We are doing well so far. Bryce is really stressed, this being his first week of installing this software, and with having some technical difficulties... but he seems to be doing a fine job and getting things done in a way that pleases his customers.
Elie, Jadon and I are enjoying the different options we have during the day. With school getting done so early in the mornings, we have the whole day to play! Aquarium anyone??

Oh my goodness... have I ever told you that I REALLY don't like hotel rooms? You are so amazing, you make anywhere home. It is as it should be my friend. What a neat experience to have with your kids and all the fun stories that will come of this trip that you will share when the kids are teens...so fun. Love you, Irene
